At one time in my life, I would have had to come home with at least one of these. And it was still tempting but since I am trying to get rid of the clutter, I only took a picture.
It is beautiful. I probably at one time would have bought it too! I too, am trying to get rid of so much stuff. I love going into antique and junk stores and I would always leave with something but now I have way too much stuff. And after cleaning out my parents' house, there was even more. So now I am trying to get rid of it all.
This plate is unique. I used to love rooster items, but since I have a rooster and chickens crowing right next door, I can live without them. I love the eggs they provide though haha.
I love it, I would have bought it. It sure would brighten up the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteHurray for pictures!
ReplyDeleteThe plate has such a nice old vintage look. I have made a pledge to myself not to bring in more. I must learn to take more pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful rooster plate. It must be hard to resist buying that plate.
ReplyDeleteI'd have been tempted too; I have a bit of a thing about roosters and hens - symbols of my childhood I suppose.
ReplyDeleteI understand the need to declutter, but I also understand the temptation.
ReplyDeleteYour collection fetish...roosters? I like the colors on this one...very unique.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet plate. Love the bright cheery colors. I remember a cabinet in my grandmothers living room that was filled with all kinds of roosters.
ReplyDeleteMuito bonito o prato do galo.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

ReplyDeletegood self control; not only do you save money and avoid clutter, you have captured something you can share with perfect strangers!
ReplyDeleteNow that rooster would have come home with me. Did you go through the linens?
ReplyDeleteSo colorful and cheerful. My grandma had a plaster rooster that must have been three feet by three feet that hung in the wall in her kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya. I used to love this stuff and I still do but buy no more
