Rooster plate...

At one time in my life, I would have had to come home with at least one of these.  And it was still tempting but since I am trying to get rid of the clutter, I only took a picture.

  2. The plate has such a nice old vintage look. I have made a pledge to myself not to bring in more. I must learn to take more pictures.

  4. I'd have been tempted too; I have a bit of a thing about roosters and hens - symbols of my childhood I suppose.

  5. I understand the need to declutter, but I also understand the temptation.

  7. What a sweet plate. Love the bright cheery colors. I remember a cabinet in my grandmothers living room that was filled with all kinds of roosters.

  15. It is beautiful. I probably at one time would have bought it too! I too, am trying to get rid of so much stuff. I love going into antique and junk stores and I would always leave with something but now I have way too much stuff. And after cleaning out my parents' house, there was even more. So now I am trying to get rid of it all.

  16. i've been trying to do that as well. Take a picture, to preserve the memory and leave the item where it is.

  21. So colorful and cheerful. My grandma had a plaster rooster that must have been three feet by three feet that hung in the wall in her kitchen.

  23. This plate is unique. I used to love rooster items, but since I have a rooster and chickens crowing right next door, I can live without them. I love the eggs they provide though haha.
