Start the year off with a barn

I am strolling through the archives again...I don't think this one has ever been published.  It was taken in Indiana on one of our rambling drives.  We used to go and get on the back roads and not know where we were...just go until we came to a busy road, that we might or might not be familiar with.  I miss those days.

  1. That is the kind of driving I enjoy. Some of the best scenes can be found on the back roads.

  2. That little hill looks to be man-made, so the animals can get in and out of the barn maybe?

  7. This is one of your best barns!!! The tractor/truck port is what makes it unique!

  8. I always enjoy your barn photos. That kind of a drive sounds like fun to me. Of course Wade would never have been up for something like that and I was always too afraid of getting lost on my own.

  11. That's a nice one. I used to take drives like that when my kids were young. I'd pack a picnic lunch and we'd go get lost for the afternoon. It was fun!

I like the play of light on this one... yes, my dad used to favour 'road rambles' like that. Happy memories. YAM xx

  14. I like seeing the build up of soil so they could drive their tractor up and into the barn. I have seen many like this for a long time.
