Is it me, or is its breast redder than normal? This is the color it was...I thought it seemed a deeper color than normal. Also, if it is, I wonder if it has to do with it being this early in spring.
Yes, it seems to be a deeper red than usual. I thought some robins that passed through our yard a few weeks ago were a bit redder than normal. But, they weren't this red.
Oh, my beloved Robin. They are the neatest bird. I used to see them all the time where I used to live. Yes, sometimes their bellies were a dark orange and sometimes when I took the pictures, they were a bright orange. I'll send you a couple through e-mail. This bird fascinates me. : )
It is so much more a deeper and more intense color! Maybe because of spring and breeding season? I will keep an eye on the ones here.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one with that dark red. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful robin. I don't think I have seen one here. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI dunno--- one of our most common birds and the breast doesn't seem unusual to me.
