Early iris...

 This photo was taken April 17th and it had been blooming since the day or two before.  What is funny is it is still a beautiful bloom!  I have never had them last even half long.  It must be the cool weather.  None of my other irises are near ready to bloom.  I think this one is blooming because somehow it got shifted so close to the house.

What a beauty

 We saw this beauty pull in.  I could not believe I had the luck to get to photopraph it.  Even with my phone.

From my yard

 It looks like something is eating on the leaves...this is the first time I have ever seen damage on their leaves and I have had them for years and years.

Nature's garbage guys

They seem to have a keen sense of smell...I often wonder how far they can smell something that is dead.  And they find the smallest things...we have seen half a dozen  or more after a dead squirrel.

 I saw these blooms and stopped to take a picture...I am not sure what kind of blooms they are.  But they shout spring to me.

 This was taken on Monday...dogwoods are probably my favorite blooming tree.  Maybe.

 A relatively small barn this time...this one not too far away.  

Here's some rust...

The tool aisle at the antique place was busy so I did not linger.  I would love to go in there and a lot of pics...you just would not believe all there is.  And I don't know what half of the things are used for.

 

Rooster pitcher

We went to Arthur, Illinois yesterday.  As usual we went in to the 'antique' store.  Seems like lately any time we are over there, it is so busy I cannot take my time and really enjoy it.  But at least yesterday we did walk up and down every aisle.

 Roger loves McD's coffee...he was getting quite the collection of cups, and I thought about taking a photo of them.  I decided to take one, and he had thrown all but two away.  He does rinse them out and reuse them for our own coffee.
