She has been gone for at least 8 years...I cannot remember just what year she quit coming nor when I saw her last set of babies. But I still miss her...and I always wonder about the squirrels around and if they are related to her.
She is a pretty girl! And I love her little ears. Hours have been coming and going so no way to track them we have too many hawks for them to stay around too long
That is a great picture of the squirrel, Rose. Although I do not like them, and I'm looking at one right now outside my window scurrying about my front yard. The Winter has made them disappear more, but a few still come around.
I love this. We used to have a very friendly squirrel we called Miss Piggy. Same with me. I always wondered what happened to her and if others were her family.
A magnificent portrait of this adorable squirrel. That has happened to me several times. Once with a squirrel who over time started to take peanuts from my hand. One day he was just gone. And a chipmunk who would wait for me every morning to bring out peanuts. I was very sad both times and still think about them.

What an adorable photo! So tell us about her, how was she different from the other squirrels? Did you give her a name?

Excellent capture on the squirrel, and her eye was like speaking to us.

ReplyDeleteAwe, maybe some of her babies are running around now raising their own families. Love the photo, it's almost like she posed for you.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I often wonder about the animals I see, particularly the squirrels.
