I'm not quite sure what you mean by the weird look. We've always had a lot of these around here. I don't see as many in my yard since I don't fill the feeders any more though.
Oh, the precious mourning dove. They have been visiting me often this Spring - they fly in my front yard, pick up a few goodies from the ground, and fly away.
It does look a bit otherworldy.
ReplyDeleteThat one looks like a wood carving, beautifully painted. I don't know if that's what you are seeing, but--- it's remarkable.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot of the Dove. They are camera shy around me.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day and happy new week!
Perhaps it was very bright is why it looks this way.
ReplyDeleteLove your bird photos.
ReplyDeleteTheir call is so lovely.

I've always liked mourning doves.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what you mean by weird. Maybe the lighting. I do see a spot by his neck.

ReplyDeleteHe seems to be very cautious and not sure what you are doing. He is a very pretty dove. A wonderful portrait!
