There is nothing any cuter than a calf...I cannot help but smile in the spring when every where we go, we see new life emerging. Not just in plants, but all the other babies that start to arrive.
awww, reminds me of the cows my grandparents raised...and you are right, the cycle of life continues to carry on, even with the death of children but then we are reminded that there truly is the circle of life!
I drive by a farm that has at least one new calf every year....it is a small herd. I'm always wishing I could stop for a photo, but it is right on a series of curves and a narrow road. But I smile at them as I go by. There are 3 calves this year. I look forward to passing that house. Sometimes the cows are in another field and a lone donkey is in the field by the road. Can't figure out why they make the switch off and on.
They really are adorable. I've been watching some on a farm on my way to work. makes me smile in the morning.
ReplyDeleteamen. we get calves as early as January here in Texas since our spring can start as early as Feb. :)
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteOh what a cutie pie. I love seeing those baby calves. We have a spotted black and white one at the farm down in the valley.

ReplyDeleteI like the calf's spotted color scheme! :-) He looks so healthy and in good shape. Fine image.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet photo, Rose. I think the calf is just as interested in YOU as you are in it. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. It's impossible to see a young calf (or other animal) and not smile. This is a great portrait.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we always made them pets and then was sad to see them sold.
ReplyDeleteOur neighbors at Circle Square Ranch just south of Stone Creek have hundreds of calves running about. Great fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteThis little bull looks very healthy!
