A spring beauty....

There is nothing any cuter than a calf...I cannot help but smile in the spring when every where we go, we see new life emerging. Not just in plants, but all the other babies that start to arrive.

  3. Oh what a cutie pie. I love seeing those baby calves. We have a spotted black and white one at the farm down in the valley.

  4. awww, reminds me of the cows my grandparents raised...and you are right, the cycle of life continues to carry on, even with the death of children but then we are reminded that there truly is the circle of life!

  6. Very sweet photo, Rose. I think the calf is just as interested in YOU as you are in it. :)

  7. I agree with you. It's impossible to see a young calf (or other animal) and not smile. This is a great portrait.

  8. Yeah, we always made them pets and then was sad to see them sold.

  9. Our neighbors at Circle Square Ranch just south of Stone Creek have hundreds of calves running about. Great fun to watch.

This little bull looks very healthy!

  11. I drive by a farm that has at least one new calf every year....it is a small herd. I'm always wishing I could stop for a photo, but it is right on a series of curves and a narrow road. But I smile at them as I go by. There are 3 calves this year. I look forward to passing that house. Sometimes the cows are in another field and a lone donkey is in the field by the road. Can't figure out why they make the switch off and on.
