From mid-November

There is a strip pit that is at the edge of nearby 'community.'  It has a walking path all the way around it, so Roger and I have went there two or three times to walk.  I kept seeing this mockingbird and finally got the change to photograph it a couple weeks ago.

  1. Pretty bird. I don't think we have Mockingbirds here although we do have some birds in the same family.

  2. Although I knew there was such a bird - ever since I was introduced to it by the rolling piano and warm vocals of Mr Fats Domino! - I don't think I've ever seen a photograph of a Mockingbird.`Shameful but true.

  5. Rose, you have more patience than I have. Birds move too fast for me to photograph.

  8. Gorgeous photo! I love mockingbirds. I always hear them singing outside my windows in the morning and they are our state bird here in Florida!
