Illinois barns

I was searching for barns to post...thinking I was going to have to go waa-aaa-aaay  back in time to find something that had not been posted or at the least not posted recently.  I had forgot all about a drive we did over around Arthur, Illinois on April 21, right before I took my blogging break....
Isn't this a pretty setting for the barn?
It was a rainy, wet day...
None of the pics are fantastic...
but they give you a slice of the area.

    From the first photo it would seem that the farmer is happier to spend money on machinery than on roofing.

    I think they are all fantastic shots, nothing says beauty can't be on a gray day. I love the big dead tree and the first one is so pretty, I would not want to be the roofer that gets up there to repair it. all beautiful barns to me

    I hope someone fixes that bard roof soon, I'd hate to see another fall victim to weather, it's too nice a barn.

    At the first farm, it looks like they spent all their money on a new John Deere and had nothing left to fix the roof. Rose it's great to see back blogging and of course I appreciate having you stop by. Come again when you can.

    I like the contrast between the bright and shiny machinery and old and weathered barn. Easy to guess which one makes the farmer the money. I like the composition of the second shot.
