This scene so captured my eye that I do not even remember what it was an entry to. I honestly don't think I noticed. I love rock walls/rock work of any kind...then there are those black hollyhocks. They would so match my irises that are almost black.
Love black hollyhocks!
ReplyDelete...hollyhocks are such a great time plant, love the black ones.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Darth Vader would love them. I have never seen any.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely photo. The black flowers are very eye catching.
ReplyDeleteThe stonework is beautiful and a great setting for the hollyhocks. Black hollyhocks are unusual to me.
ReplyDeleteNice entry - to something! Like the dark hollyhocks too.
ReplyDeleteI just adore hollyhocks, and I have a few (finally) your picture here is quite lovely stone wall too!
ReplyDeleteHello, I love the rock walls too. A pretty scene with the hollyhocks. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love stone walls too! There is a home in South Bend, in the historic district that is made of stone and has a short stone wall around it. I love it and ask Terry to go in that direction when we have to drive to South Bend. I love holly hocks too. I planted some a few years ago, but somehow they have disappeared. I think Terry weed killed them and doesn't want to admit it.

that stone would have caught my eye also. I have never seen black flowers.. did not know they exist.
ReplyDeleteI like stone walls too.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a pretty picture.
We sure have a lot of stones up at HT and plan to do all sorts of neat things with them .
I really like that stone or rock entrance but black hollyhocks. I tried them once and they are hard to see---give me pink or red ones---they show up better.
