    what a contrast between the gentle butterfly and the thorny thistle and its flower is very impressive Rose... i love the depth of field behind them....peter:)

    Beautiful shot. I love everything about it. You are right though, the background doesn't look real. The way it's softly blurred is perfect.

    I agree with your assessment of the background. It is so creamy, yet it maintains detail and focus (a bit). Oh, and the swallowtail is fine too.
