Painted Lady


 You just got to admit that the bottom side/side of the wings that is showing now, has a beauty all its on on the Painted Lady Butterfly.

    I even think I like the bottom the best, the colors are more soft and pastel. Great capture!

    It's interesting to see the beauty that we (well, me anyway) can easily overlook. We get an influx of Painted Ladies in some years, but not so many this year.

    I have noticed before that the underside of a butterfly is sometimes more beautiful than the top side. This one is beautiful on the top and the bottom sides
