On the way to see Lorelei

We pass this every time we go to Sarah's...it is just there and gone so quick that I can never manage to get a good picture of it.

Sarah's clematis

Sarah had a clematis blooming the last time we were there...I love the color.

Almost every time I see a robin, they remind me of Cheep-Cheep, a robin the girls and I raised.

Foxglove

One of our additions to our flowers...I have been wanting it for a while.  I am thinking I might go buy more.

Weathered

A scene from the past...taken last June.  Wonder what is behind those windows?

For Friday's fences....

First this oldie....just makes me happy to look at this Dickcissel sitting on a fence post.
And then there is this newer photo taken this past winter...

Iris...such an amazing flower

The iris is such a beautiful flower...and sort of complicated when you look at it.  I can never quite capture it like I want to.

Illinois scene

We see scenes like this all the time when we ramble around over in Illinois.  One of these days I would love to find a place to pull off, use my tripod and take a series of photos and stitch them together.  Something about these scenes I love...

Scenes from the past

I have had this barn ready to post for several months and just have not gotten around to it. It is one we came across on one of our drives.
It set way back from the road, but I still found it appealing.

Again, I have had this one ready to post for months.  And months.  A different drive, a different day.  Not that I find it so appealing, but the color is odd.  That caught my attention.
It isn't very big, and is not close to any farmhouse.

The first barn is in Indiana, and the one that is part green is in Illinois.

Springlike....

Another close-up from my flowers.  The whole thing says spring to me...

Little cabin in Illinois

We found the Forest Glen Preserve a week or two ago...I was surprised that it had this cabin.  And disappointed cause it was not open to the public.

Things for sale....

This stuff was left setting out...but the store was not open...or had not opened yet...seen on the square in Rockville, Indiana.

Drive-bys for Barn Charm....again

It is that time of week--time for Barn Charm.  The meme opens around 7:00 p.m.  Again I have drive-bys to offer.  These were taken back in April...the same day I took the picture of the Eugene Covered Bridge.
This one is in the best shape of the lot.
This one was rather dark in the original.  I have tried to lighten it up and still keep it natural looking.  Sometimes hard to on this laptop.

Dogwood

This is from my front yard.  The tree was injured when it was young.  Since then, its blossoms usually open up pink, but changes to white before it is done.

Marching...

We drove through the strip pits yesterday on our way to Walmart.  We saw this fellow/gal crossing the road.  When I got out to take photos, he did not slow down.  He turned around and was going in front of our Rav4, so I picked him up to help him along and he just didn't stop.
By the way, notice how he almost glows?  You are seeing the real thing...he really did seem to glow with color.  And when Roger and Sarah went mushroom hunting, they found one just as brightly colored, and maybe a little bit more so.

Does anyone else do this?

Any time I have a vine, I am more than likely going to to do some 'art' with it.  I love to wind them together and watch them grow.  This wisteria vine was no exception.

On his on turf

This was the only creature that cooperated when we went up to the place north of Danville, Illinois...where you go to view herons and bald eagles. This was back when the flooding was going on. We saw herons from a distance and saw a bald eagle or two...not sure if it was two or if it was just the same one in a different place.
