 I don't think I have ever published this photo...it is a drive-by.  Back when Roger was doing the driving.  I still had to straighten it a lot.

Farm house gone...

We passed  this farm last week.  In this photo I am driving east.  The other day I was coming from the east...so did not realize till we got past the barn that the farm house was gone.  There was a pile of rubble in its place.  My heart just sank...I just so hate that it is gone.

I wish I had not cut that tree off on the right side, but I was shooting from the car and would have gotten my rear view mirror in the frame.  And the road was to busy to stop and get out.  And no place to pull off.

Barn and farmhouse....

I thought I featured this barn  sometime recently but cannot find the post....either I forgot to label it or just never got around to posting it...but this was take just a few days ago.  You can barely see a picket fence on the far side.  This was taken as we traveled west.  Though it is not really a busy road, I am seldom on it when there isn't a vehicle coming up behind me.

We happened to come back by the farm on the way home, and this is the farmhouse.  I think I stopped to take the barn shot, but couldn't stop for these of the house, so you get what you get.

I would love to see inside the house.  I wonder if anyone lives there.  It definitely needs a new roof.

Farm in Illinois...

I have no idea what these symbols mean...they are on farm buildings/barns over in Illinois.  Not too far from here if I am not mistaken.  These photos are from 2009.  You think the above are a bit odd...they remind me of quilt barns but are not any pattern that I have ever seen.

then there is this...it strikes me funny every time I see it. 

Another old barn...

This is another old barn at the farm shown in the previous two posts...notice the horses. They thought I was bringing them something, or coming to see them. They were very interested in me.
I wish they had been closer to the road, till I could have at least rubbed their velvety noses.

The farmhouse

This is the house that goes with the old farm....I don't know if it is as deserted as it appears. I see curtains, and there was a cat. However, there was no other signs of life.

This is at the farm where the gate in the previous post was seen. Some one has been there since the snow, but the tracks were not fresh.

Fair weather shot....

This is just a few hundred feet from this.....look at those blue skies! Seems like forever since we have seen weather like that.

And if you will check yesterday's post, of the eagles...I was standing right in front of this house when I took the picture of the eagles in the field! Can you imagine living in a place where you can look out your window and see eagles? I cannot.

This is another shot from my last drive over in Illinois...it might not appeal to you but it does to me. I am not sure why...probably the sky has a lot to do with it.

Another farm over in Illinois....notice the roof in the top picture. It has a strange little section that is higher than the rest.
The barn is is a nice one...I would love to see inside....also love the little building in front of it. I wonder what it is used for...actually wonder what the building in the other photo is for, too.
