from January 6, 2012

I was looking for covered bridge photos, and could not believe the date this was taken when I noticed!

Just thought I would show them again...

If you click the above, you can see the curved arch...not the greatest pic but you can at least see that.  Maybe it with the one below will give you a feel for it.

Are we ready for this yet???

I thought I would show another covered bridge, this one from Bridgeton, Indiana.  I don't suppose I will be getting out and rambling much in weather like this now.  I will miss that so much...always loved to get out while it was snowing.

Bridgeton, Indiana in January 2016

There was a lot of water coming over the dam back in January...
This is the old mill...

I consider this an Indiana treasure.

Zacke Cox Bridge

This is just one of many covered bridges in Parke County. I have lived here longer than I want say and have not seen them all.

This one looks like it could use some TLC.....but I hardly notice that because all I see is the reflective quality of the water.

Looking through....

I took several pics looking through this Cox Ford Bridge, but this was the only one that turned out half way decent. I have pictures of the bridge over on my Pics & Pieces blog. It spans Sugar Creek in Parke County, Indiana.

Snowy view of West Union covered bridge....

Remember the sign I posted for my brother...well, it isn't far from this bridge. It was taken January 11....this is also where we saw 4 eagles.

West Union Covered Bridge

This is one of the covered bridges of Parke County, Indiana. It goes across Sugar Creek....Roger has went there with buddies and they have waded the creek fishing.
It is a fairly long bridge...over 300 ft. long. Its a double span...built in 1876! Just think it is over 100 years old.

Neet Bridge

If you enlarge this, you will see that the title of this post is not a misspelling but is the actual name of this bridge. It is sort of amazing...this little bridge is like so many of the ones in Parke County--it is out in the middle of no where. This one can not be traveled through, lots of them can be driven through.

This is another view from the Roseville Covered Bridge in Coxville, Indiana. That is Big Raccoon Creek in the view.
