White barn in snow...

We are having snow as I get this ready to schedule it to post about 3 days from now.  It is the most snow we have had in at least a couple years if it stopped now.  But we are supposed to get 6-12 inches.

From a nearby town...

This little cabin sits in the backyard in a small town near us.  It is really small, smaller than this photo shows.  I am just a bit above 5ft and I could not go through the door without bending over.

Re yesterday's post of the War Memorial...it is in Indianapolis and is part of the Indiana War Memorial Plaza.  You can read about it HERE

Tiny dancer....

Tell me what you would title this shot...I see a dancer.

Another from the archives...I must be longing for a good snow the way I keep finding photos to share.

2010 photo

Another photo from a few years ago...we always loved to get out and ramble around when it was snowing.

Walking....

Would you walk in weather like this?  This photo shows just how it was that day.

On a winter's day....

Another photo, taken basically the same time as yesterday's post.

Photo from 2011

It has been a good while since this shot was taken...I wish I could find this place again.  This farm had a lot of interesting buildings and the snow showed them off to perfection.

From January 2010

Just a few shots from a winter drive

It always pays to zoom in a bit...the top photo is what I found when I zoomed in on this barn.

The wind was busy that day....I can almost feel it just looking at the snow being blown about here.

I think these are beech leaves...someone told me when the tree is young for some reason their leaves cling through winter.

How about an orchard at rest....this photo just does not do it justice...but you get the idea.  It is a huge orchard by Indiana standards.

Anyone missing winter?

A few scenes from 2008....

Just so you know...

I have not had enough warm weather to make me miss snow.

Nothing like this snow from 2005

These are from 2005....just love to look at them and remember the day.

I bet that creek was cold...

Just a beautiful, snowy day...

I hope you have enjoyed the views.

A repeat from a few years ago...doesn't it look lonely?

Is anyone missing this?

Just a little reminder of what winter is like for some of us...

Wintry....

I LOVE this clock; it is on the square in Covington, Indiana. A very nice little town....everyone we talked to was so friendly.
