Tools...

This is photo heavy...not going to comment a lot..

I was just amazed at all the items one man had.  I think he actually had this forge built.

I would hate to have to count every tool hanging here...they were from wall to wall just like the photo shows.

I so wish I had had a recorder to record what he told us.  I don't know how long it took him to collect it all.

Does anyone know what this is for.  Seems like it was something to do with making wagon wheels and spacing the spokes, but I really am not sure.  But I could be way off base...

And I don't even have a clue to what this was used for.  And I am pretty sure he told us.

There was so much stuff there that you just cannot imagine it.  I was there and seeing it and could not take it all in.  It was hard to get good photos...everything was so crowded together it was hard to even walk through.  Click Here to take to old posts from the Skinner Farm Museum.  You will see that I have posted repeats...specially this post, but I think there will be other stuff that I haven't posted these few days.

And one thing I did not get a photo of at all was he had a Conestoga wagon.

Round barn, log cabin, and more...

This round barn is what originally what drew me to this place.  I don't remember where I heard about it.  It is not in my book A Round Indiana, Round Barns of Indiana by John T. Hanou.

This log cabin is at the Skinner Farm Museum, too.  It was moved there; I don't remember where it was in its former life.  And notice in the background is a brick home.  It is two stories, and is a fairly big home...and it was moved there from a few miles away!  I do not recall if the round barn was already there or if the guy moved it there, too.  I think most buildings there are buildings he moved there.

I don't know why I am showing this one...I don't remember a thing about it.  I like that it is old...I like that it is logs with the ends notched.

Old

These are from the Skinner Farm museum...a place we went to in 2016.  I have always wanted to go back but have not made it.  Not sure Roger could make it walking through it all since his stroke.

I am not sure this is the same vehicle as in the first photo.  But they were taken in this order.  and skip a couple photos for the photo below.

Over the next day or two, or three, I think I am going to re-post a few pics that I have posted before mixed in with some I haven't.  I have never seen so much old stuff in one place in my life...owned by one man!  Just look hanging and on the floor and all around...every inch stuffed to the brim.  I don't even know if a person could get in to see it...the time we saw it it was pure luck that the guy was there and saw us and came out and talked to us.

The photos are from Feb 29, 2016.  We happened by this place sort of by chance...I had heard of it but we had not really planned to go there that day.  We meant to get back at a better time...but then Roger's stroke happened last fall and we have not attempted it again.  The day we were up there it was muddy and wet...

This is another building from the Skinner Farm Museum...I don't remember asking where it was from.  Everything there had a history.  I am hoping that some time in the future Roger will feel like going back there.

First an old watering can...I would love to have this just to sit on my porch.

 Then how about this old Allis Chalmers?  Things were so crowded in together it was impossible to get good photos of any one thing.

I have no idea who made this vehicle...

The old guy that owned them knew them all by heart.

This is another of the treasures from the museum.

Now the 'thing' below was there close to the steam tractor above.

According to Wikipedia the 8-16 Mogul is a tractor made by International Harvester.  (that is the owner at the extreme right...)

I hope you enjoyed these...there is still more to come from this place.

This dusty little knight was in the back of a truck in the other building...I just had to throw him with this mix for good measure.

These are barns photographed at the end of February...I thought I would use them for The Barn Collective.  For the first two, Roger was able to pause and let me snap a couple pics.

It is not a very big barn...

We were going at a good pace when I captured this one.  It was quite a distance away.  I was only able to snag one shot.

 I have no excuse for not having a better photo of this barn.  We were going through curves and not going fast at all.

For the Barn Collective, I am choosing to show more from the Skinner Farm Museum once again.  First this round barn...and notice the old rusty barn in the background.

It is falling apart at the seams.

Though this is an old school, I am throwing it in as a bonus.

All three of these buildings were moved here from other places.
