Another from Patton's Corner....

This is another old tool seen at Patton's Corner.  It was back in June that we were up there and I still have not made it back.

Friday's fences...

The week has been slow passing in some ways and in others I don't know where the time has gone.  I just realized a few minutes ago that it is time for Friday's fences so had to do a quick glance through to find photos I had not posted...I am chosing a couple...first this barn...I have no idea where it is.  I would like to have a better photo of the barn itself, but like all the fencing that this one show.
And the one below, I kind of know the general area, but not sure I could find it again.
I would like to know what is beyond the trees and what looks like an outhouse.

Do you see the critter in this photo?

Making up for lost time/posts

Seems like all summer I have missed joining Barn Charm more than I have got to join.  There has been times I could have posted but would not have got to visit, and other time I am just out of sync.
So to make up for lost time, I am posting several drive-by shots of barns taken when returning home a few years here you go
I got a couple decent ones of this one.
Next we have just single shots of different barns.
I may have posted the one above at some other time, but if I can't remember, I doubt if anyone else will either.

You can definitely tell I am moving in the one above...
There you have my entry for Barn Charm...I am still so glad that Tricia takes the time to do this.  Even if I don't get to join every time.  Hard to believe it has been running for 2 years!

Aster....I think

I found this beauty yesterday....just think they are so pretty.  Most flowers are when you really look--be it dandelion, ironweed, beebalm, roses, tulips or irises.  They really are beautifully and wonderfully made.

Fall beauty

It has begun...well, two things have begun.  The changing of the colors and me photographing it!  It is just impossible to pass by the colors of autumn without shooting a few shots.

Simply irresistible...

I was out photographing a little quilt top I just finished and couldn't pass the hibiscus by...they have bloomed so faithful ever since we planted them.

September days

This was taken yesterday at the strip pits...I saw more butterflies in the time I was there than I have seen all summer.

Trying Friday's fences again...

The past few weeks I have had things going on till I knew even if I submitted a photo to Friday's fences, I wouldn't get to visit everyone else so just didn't bother to join. This week should be different so here I am again. In one of our drives we came across is what remains of a fence. It had been a fine fence...there were more of these posts.
It must have been a fine farm in its day. Now I cannot even remember what else was there.

Not the greatest photo, but a great tree!

I suggest that you right click on the image thing click open in new window or new tab to get the best view. I just simply love to stand under this is at one of the little parks we take Lorelei. I suppose if I had taken the time I could have worked on the photo...but just didn't feel like taking the time.

One more....

The picture says it all in my view...he lives in Tennessee...she lives in Indiana. They don't see each other very often, but when they do a good time is had. By all. For we get as much fun watching them as they do playing together.

What this photo needs...

What this photo needs is either an eagle, hawk or big old buzzard sitting in the tree. I think then it would feel complete for me.

More stages of the water lily....

I should have posted this following the photo of the fresh bloom, but did not think about what I was doing. I just think the stages are so interesting.

High winds...

We assume high winds took this looked sort of lonesome all by itself on the hill.

Ended up going up to the Heron Viewing station north of Danville, Illinois yesterday. This is from there.

Remember these?

I cannot remember if we had one of these ever...but I remember being at at least one of the places my mom's friend, Mrs Hayes lived that had one of these. For some reason, I loved them then.
