Rooster pitcher
We went to Arthur, Illinois yesterday. As usual we went in to the 'antique' store. Seems like lately any time we are over there, it is so busy I cannot take my time and really enjoy it. But at least yesterday we did walk up and down every aisle.

From the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival
This was taken during October, 2012. I am assuming somewhere in Parke County but cannot be sure. All roads leading to Parke County are full of yard sales, flea markets.

Rooster plate...
At one time in my life, I would have had to come home with at least one of these. And it was still tempting but since I am trying to get rid of the clutter, I only took a picture.

Does anyone remember these?
I don't know if we ever had one for sure...but I do remember them from somewhere in my life. I may have seen one at someone else's home.

Vintage
It just crossed my mind...do they even make oil cans like this anymore? I am going to have to look for one. If I can remember.
These two shots overlap...couldn't make up my mind which I liked best so just posting both.
Also, I did not pay a bit of attention to the prices of these, but next time I am there, I will.

Daughter's treasure....
This is not my photo...daughter sent it to me after she got home with them. I had tried to take one in the shop they were in but too many reflections in the window. She has been looking at them for a couple years...but we didn't get them cause they would have been a pain to ship. And we would have had to ship them. Do you see the dogwood design? I had not noticed in the shop, and I don't think she had either. That makes me like them all the more.
This was at the same store...if I was in the market for a treasure, I might have come home with this. But since I am trying to declutter, I came home without it.
I will be linking to Tuesday's Treasures...

Treasures
I have been meaning for us to go to the Skinner Farm Museum for a while now...I just found out about it by chance when looking at a list of round barns a while back. I quickly got on Google Earth to see if it was still there, and it was. Today was the first time I remembered it when we actually had the time to stop. For this Tuesday's Treasures, I am showing you a few shots from the Blacksmith's Shop. Notice the huge bellows there in the corner in the above photo!
This is the another corner...there was no room to walk and get good photos..just had to stand and click.
See that barrel back against the wall? It is made from a single wooden log....it is too wide to fit through a normal door. There was no way for Roger to stand beside to just the proportion.
Everywhere we looked, there was more and more.
I hope you enjoyed these photos from the Blacksmiths shop....

From the Land of Lincoln for Tuesday's Treasures
We were wandering around somewhere over in Illinois when we came across this place. It was a house on the corner...not a business. There are a lot of treasures here that I would like to have, though what I would do with them is more than I know.
Thank-you Tom for starting Tuesday's Treasures.

Tuesday's Treasures
Thanks to Tom, we are going to have a new meme to post to, called Tuesday's Treasures. Don't you love the name. I am scheduling this to post and hoping I don't forget to link up.
To some people, things like this are treasures. And I willingly admit that I like them. But I don't have room for them, therefore I never even think about buying them for myself.
Other people find things like this more interesting. Me, I love looking at them both, but would come nearer buying this second item.
