Remember Mabel... .



I always told Lorelei that she was Charlotte's cousin that moved to the city.


 We watched her grow all one summer.

She grew....


And grew some more...


The first photo was taken on Sept 3 and the last one on October 11....I have watched for relatives every summer since that year but so far no luck. You know she had to leave lots of children behind with that body of hers!

Living on a storm door

This spider lived on my storm door this fall...I didn't have the heart to kill him, and I wasn't about to catch and release somewhere else.  You would not believe the mess it made though!

Hairy-legged spider

I started to clean the storm door windows, and noticed this guy/gal.  I have no idea what type of spider it is, and have not attempted to identify it.
I have never seen one like it that I can remember.  Please click to see a better view.  Would you call them hairy legs or what?
