This is one of the covered bridges of Parke County, Indiana. It goes across Sugar Creek....Roger has went there with buddies and they have waded the creek fishing.

It is a fairly long bridge...over 300 ft. long. Its a double span...built in 1876! Just think it is over 100 years old.

This is a beautiful covered bridge. You did a great job of picturing it.
Wow---I love Covered Bridges, Rose... That one you pictured is fabulous. Thanks SO much for sharing.

Beautiful covered bridge. We have a road here called Covered Bridge Road and we went down it thinking there was a covered bridge...No such luck...There might have been one at one time, but no more. We were very disappointed.
Very nice shots of this lovely bridge. Red is such a welcomed colour this time of year.
A fine shot of this beautiful old, covered bridge. It appears to be so long to provide room for flood stage water so it won't wash out the bridge. Nice shot.
Oh WoW! I'd love to hear its stories... they had to have raised it at some point or has it always been built up like that? That's really long one
Lovely covered bridge shots! It really is a long one. Most that I've seen have been much shorter. While we were in Pennsylavania during September we chased down several covered bridges. You really do have to know where to look because they are usually tucked away along little narrow roads. I've been planning on posting some of these for a while and just need to get my act together.
The tales this bridge could tell if a bridge could talk! What has happened over that 100 years inside that covered bridge?
It's quite a sight - not something you'd find here - and a beautiful photo, Rose.
I love seeing covered bridges. That's a long one!
