This was taken Saturday evening...looking up the Big Raccoon Creek. We were passing through Bridgeton, Indiana. It had rained in the morning, then it started to clear up. Just before we got here, it had rained a few drops...then the clouds cleared up and was full of fluffy clouds...
This picture is above the dam; when our girls were young that was a big sand bar on the left. We spent lots of afternoons fishing here and letting the girls play. Roger and I always waded and fished, and the girls played and sometimes fished.

I really like this picture. The color is wonderful with the bright foreground against the dark cloud in the background.
What a neat place, Rose. I can just see you and Roger fishing there --and your kids playing in the water.... Those were the great times, weren't they???
Hope things go well in Indy...
Hugs,
Betsy
What a pretty creek. Do you guys still fish there?
Looks like a delightful place for a family to spend some quality time together!
I like the photo at lot ... the area seems so tranquil...but that big old cloud looks a bit threatening.
Thanks again, Rose, for your many comments on Colorado in Color. For a few days no comments showed up and I thought no one was commenting...and that's why I didn't respond...then all of a sudden, there they were. Crazy. But I really appreciate your taking the time to look at the blog and make comments!
I very much like the contrast of the sky with the yellow green foliage!
Betsy, yes, those were great times. Maybe soon we can start getting Lorelei out like that if Sarah's surgery is a success.
Judy, we do still fish this creek...but usually on upstream. But not near as often as we used to.
Nice combination of sun and cloud!
