A couple drive-by-slowly barn shots....I think these were still in Illinois. They were taken last week.

I don't think there is much that is more inviting than a barn yard, specially a shady one.
This is my entry for Tricia's Barn Charm Meme at Bluff Area Daily blog...

drive by slowly. i like it!
They do look like it may be cool in there.
I really like the long slope of the roof. And I bet it's a lot cooler in the shade for sure!
very nice - were you driving slowly and shooting quickly?
Lovely!!!
Love this one in the shade. Thanks for driving by slowly ;)
interesting...with a huge roof!!
we always stop and obstruct traffic...perhaps i should try the "drive by slowly" approach!!
I do the "drive by slowly" often myself!
Super barn, Rose. I too like the inviting look of the shade. When we go to my daughter's on the Ranch we all end up in front of the barn in the shade chit-chatting. Her Father-in-law is an old time cowboy and he sure can tell the stories. And we all listen!!

When I see great photos of great barns like this...I wish I could go back to my childhood on the farm.
Really great photos! The last pic looks so inviting.
the shade looks so inviting!
Very cool find, Rose! Love all that weathered wood... & of course, the shaded barnyard! =)
Thanks so much =)
It does look cool and in the summertime on a farm, very inviting indeed!
This is certainly charming! A picnic table, a couple of little kids playing and a good bird dog and it is Utopia!
Nice capture! A perfect spot to hang out on a hot day!
These old barn seem to speak of days gone by. The small family farm seems to dying out, at least here in California.
This is wonderful Rose!
I would love to see what's inside!
That is very cool barn. And I so like the color too!
