Winter gold...

I am sure that for some farmers, these hay bales would be a treasure to have. Did anyone else catch the story that it was cheaper to ship hay to China than to California dairy farmers?

Farmers in Texas would love to have these bales, given the drought they have been enduring. I hadn't heard about it being cheaper to ship hay to China than to California. That doesn't make any sense at all.

I had not heard this, that is horrible. a beautiful photo. my husband shares a birthday with our sons wife, and the 3rd is my brothers wife. we are all crowded into the small space of Aug 21 to Oct 1, with me in the middle Sept 5

A fine shot of the field of bales. I missed that story but I've been wondering about hay being shipped to drought states like Texas. I'm wondering if owners simply have to sell their stock.
