I have so many barns....I keep thinking about putting them all up on a barns only blog...but I do well to keep this and
Pics and Pieces running. So occasionally, I show barns more than once a week. We found this one just last week in our rambling drive to Goose Pond area.
I am not sure how much longer this barn will be standing...and I would love to know what has happened to all the wood that is gone.
I could not help but wonder if it was taken to make picture frames....
I really hate seeing barns fall apart...and kind of love them all the more when their life is ebbing away.

so true. i can see folks stealing the boards for craft projects!
Poor thing, being picked apart. It still has it's charm though.
If only it could talk and tell us where the wood has gone. I agree that it's probably craft projects.
Goodness, I have the same curiosity as you do. How is it that you keep finding more and more different barns? Do you do a lot of traveling to new and different places?
It's a shame, I wonder how long it will stay standing.
Must be folks using it for craft projects. I know when we redid our barn, we got a fortune for the old siding. Of course, we did keep some for ourselves. Nothing finer than weathered wood!
the last one is my favorite, and show all the barns you have because i have none here and I love old barns. never thought about where the wood went, now i will
I like the close ups that rarely are seen our in barn shots. They make a fine addition for their texture and patterns. Altogether a fine "barn" post.
I love that first one Rose...there is just something about barns like this. Sadness but also beauty.
Not much left there, but sturdy looking still.
