The first barn I am showing no longer exists....
And you want to know what is sad? Even though I always loved this barn, and I know which road it was on, I can not show you the exact spot where it was located.
I think it must have been a fine barn in its day.
The next one is really small...I don't even know if some of you would call it a barn, but I think that is its purpose.
I doubt if it is over 35-45 feet long, if even that. But I love the shadow of the trees on it.
I have ran across this one years ago, and though I know it is in Parke County, I have never run across it again. I wonder it is is still standing, if you will notice, there is a 2 x 4 propping up the back end.
These have all been posted at some other time, I just thought they make a nice collection

I was out taking barn photos today and saw several that caved in this winter due to all our snow. Tom The Backroads Traveller
The silo n the first one still looks good, so they even tore that down. I guess it is better to tear it down than leave it looking so sad like it did. So many farmers just don't have the money to repair the barns. I love the tree branch shadow!! That poor last one!! But the green paint on the roof is still pretty.

that is to bad about that old barn, it looks like it could have been preserved without doing to much to it..love the shadows on the barn and ha ha on the 2 x 4 holding it up...
It's a sad sign of the times that so many barns are disappearing. At least you have photos of them to prove that they did once exist!
These are (were) wonderful barns. Like the other commenters, I like that silo. Very different than the norm.

I like your barn series. That small one is a barn if you say so! :-) They are barns to me if they have the typical parts we expect in barns.

Wow! Another gorgeous brick silo and barn. We have a lot of so-called barns like the middle one in our area. Some folks can't afford to build a big one. That last one is fantastic! You have a lovely collection of barns this week. :)
This is a great collection. I'm glad you captured them since at least one is now gone. The tree shadows are fantastic!
