Buzzard fences

For Good Fences, I am showing a few shots taken today.
Please click to expand the view.
This was a cooperative pair.
In these pics that are zoomed in, it looks like the fence has an extraordinary amount of barbs...
and even the ones not so zoomed still have more than I remember barbed wire having.
Just a couple more to go...
and the one below is my fav I think!

Great pictures. Buzzards...saying or thinking "buzzards" brings an old western movie to mind. Does it for you? I like buzzard. We live a few miles from a landfill and they are flying all over the sky there. There is a farm near it and if you go by at just the right time, it seems like there are a hundred Buzzards sitting along the barn roof and on fences. I think it's a cool sight.
xx, Carol

Cool pics!! Are those the same as turkey vultures? They look like what we have here. I looked up their call on www.allaboutbirds.com and they make the strangest sound. I would never have known it was a bird. Sounded more like a vacuum cleaner.

Sorry, that's an .org, not .com

i love that last shot of the underside. we watch them soaring over our heads and the bottom is beautiful. i see what you mean on the barbs, much closer together. i like the way they both look at the same spot together

A great set of photos. These are wonderful birds doing a valuable service - Nature's Sanitation Department. I agree, there are many more barbs to this wire than normal. There are so many varieties of barbed wire out there that some make it a hobby to collect them all.

A very good series of these vultures. I like the variety of poses and the fence posts look excellent.

Beauty in everything. A homely buzzard transformed to beauty in flight. GREAT capture!

You know buzzards aren't the prettiest of birds but they make for great photos. That does look like some serious barbed wire fencing.

Geese...Mr. and Mrs. certainly were cooperative with you. They had the smarts not to sit on the barbs. Hope their kids are as smart as they are...hehehe.
