From mid-November

There is a strip pit that is at the edge of nearby 'community.'  It has a walking path all the way around it, so Roger and I have went there two or three times to walk.  I kept seeing this mockingbird and finally got the change to photograph it a couple weeks ago.

Pretty bird. I don't think we have Mockingbirds here although we do have some birds in the same family.

Although I knew there was such a bird - ever since I was introduced to it by the rolling piano and warm vocals of Mr Fats Domino! - I don't think I've ever seen a photograph of a Mockingbird.`Shameful but true.

At one of our homes we had an abundance of these birds. I always enjoyed watching them. Pretty photo.

Rose, you have more patience than I have. Birds move too fast for me to photograph.

The bird posed in a very photogenic way for you. A fine picture.

Gorgeous photo! I love mockingbirds. I always hear them singing outside my windows in the morning and they are our state bird here in Florida!
