We wondered what happened and looked around...a juvenile Bald Eagle was passing through. I could not get zoomed in on him to get a photograph. It made me wonder do eagles actually catch geese? I assume they do but have never seen it happen.

Yes, I think eagles do catch geese. On T.V. I saw an eagle catch a monkey! This is a beautiful gaggle here. I have not seen this kind of goose before. We have Greylag and Canada mostly.
The eagle must have frightened off the beautiful geese. It is nice to see them in flight.
So happy you captured the photo of the geese before they were frightened away.
the photo the one standing shows the detail and how beautiful they are. what lovely feathers and markings.
White-fronted geese, are new to me.
