Weather vanes for Tuesday's treasures....

I was trying to find something for Tuesday's Treasures ad ran across all these weather vanes...

they were up at Shipshewana, Indiana.

I wish I had taken time to take more  photos of individual weather vanes.

Do you see one you would like to have for your barn/house/garage?

I love weathervanes! There was one on the garage of our little farm when we moved in, and it came down the first time we roofed the buildings. I have no idea what became of it... wish I knew.

There seems to be some dispute about which way the wind is actually blowing, very like the world we live in today!

Hi Rose, what wonderful weather vanes! We had the rooster one on our garage at our last house. I do miss it!

they are all beautiful, I have never seen anything like them. I think the train is my favorite, but I like the rooster to

Those are great looking weather vanes, Rose. My pick would be the rooster but they are all great. I think this makes me want to install one on top of our farmhouse when we build it!

My first thought was why would someone have that many weather vanes then I saw it was a store. Thought about having one of those at one time but no need for one now.

I like the one with the birds extended wings. They make a great silly Tuesday picture.

Cool weather vanes. We have some around that my husbansdKen has made.
I'm sure he would like that train one.

Terry is a rooster nut so I suppose if we had one, it would be a rooster. Or a hippopotamus but I don't think you would EVER see one of those!

I do like weather vanes. We used to have one with a horse and buggy that was on the shed for the horses. A boyfriend of one of my daughters gave it to us. when they broke up he came up one night and took it off the shed. bye Bye!

If you Google earth Palouse Falls just go up North a little bit and you will see where Cheri lives.

I love the galloping horse.

Rose, throughout history weather vanes have been popular. As a fan of The Antique Roadshow I'm always amazed by their value. You have a wonderful collection of them here, Thanks for stopping by and please come again.

Ohhh I'll take a flying bird - a goose? They are all terrific - something for everyone. You'd think with all the barns around here we'd have more weather vanes.

I'll take one of those birds! They are all wonderful.
