Peek-a-boo

Of all things, the robin has built a nest in my wisteria vine at the end of my front porch.  If I ease the door open, she always looks at me like this.  I can get my mail and she stays there, but if I step out she flies.  Consequently, we mostly sit on the back porch when we have a minute.

How cute! Robins do not usually build this close to houses! You are being so considerate. Soon there will be baby robins, with big beaks and no tails!!

So cute. Are there eggs in the nest? Have a wonderful day, Rose!

That's the perfect caption, Rose. Very thoughtful of you to disturb her as little as possible. I hope you are rewarded by cute babies!

You got her best side!

Thanks for stopping by, Rose. I fixed a minor bug with my blog's comments, so it now redirects you to the post's page after you hit publish.

Awwwwww, sweet. Lucky YOU! She decided that there is no threat nearby so trusted your home/bushes and your surroundings to raise her family.

Awesome. Great photo. Thank you so much for linking in and sharing this with us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin' this week.

PS...and I liked the song from the link you added in your comment for me.

Hello Rose, what a cute shot of the Robin! The birds do not always pick the best places for nest. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

Those danged Robins usually make their nests in the most awkward places. And most humans try to accommodate them by giving as much privacy as possible. For several years our Robin has returned to her nest on a post that holds the door to our carport. It's out of the way, but a bit inconvenient when we want to pass through to the back yard. We LOVE our robins.

Great pic.

Such a cute picture of the Robin. We had one last year build a nest over the light on the front porch.

We have a lot of robins at our place and they are all so active as they dart around looking for bugs and worms after I have mown the grass.
