I took the tree down and packed away the ornaments one more time. Kind of a bittersweet feeling...glad to have my living room back to normal. But miss the lights and sparkle.

My tree and decorations come down today as well. It does feel good to have the house back to normal.

that ornament is just pefect for you, I always feel like the house is empty once the tree comes down but a sense of relief.
I too ws lamenting the end of our Christmas tree and the pretty ornaments put away for anoter year. I hope the new year has more kindnes and understing in it. And, fewer bad events.

The tree came down due to a lack of space. Today will be the last night I have the lights outside on. I miss the lights...not so much the tree.

Yes, that was exactly how I felt when I took our tree down too. I'll be taking a blog break, but the girls will still post as often as they can, and I will continue to visit your charming blog, Rose, and see your wonderful pictures.

I missed having a tree this year. There really isn't enough room for more than a tiny one, so didn't put one up at all. It's always sad to put the tree away, but it will be Christmas again before we turn around. I'm putting up a tree next year!
