Birds...

The female Northern Cardinal has a beauty all her own...look at the touch of red on her chest and her topknot.

There were Dark-eyed Juncos galore...

Lots of starlings are showing up at the feeders, too.

You have done the seemingly impossible...made starlings look beautiful.

The Starling is an unusual and pretty bird. And the Cardinal is a beauty. Your birds are a bit different than ours here, Rose, and it's nice to see the difference.

The birds are coming around more it seems.

Nice to see some of your birds. We have starlings of course, plenty of them, and like yours they hang around the feeders and make a lot of mess.

Beautiful Cardinal! We have a lot of them coming to our feeders. I don't see many Juncos or Starlings - Great photos!

All three are excellent bird pictures. This is a very good reason to have a feeder: to get to see the beautiful birds.

Hello Rose!:) Super shots of your garden visitors. I don't mind the Starlings, I think they are beautiful, and of course the Cardinal is a real beauty. Lovely captures of them all. :)

I love the starlings but they are not in Sweden in winter. Loved to see your shot :)

I know that Starlings are hungry, too, but they sure hog all the food and chase the smaller birds away. We have had a few, but not too bad considering the weather.
