This is from our one and only trip up to the Heron Viewing Station north of Danville, Illinois.

We love to watch the ones who hang out in our wetlands... Not very pretty on the ground, but gorgeous in flight.

Great picture. BH sometimes come to our pond. When I am lucky enough to see them, I chase them off because those lovely eyes are searching and waiting for a fish to swim by.
