Through the windshield....


I wish the sky had a bit of color to match the richness of the other colors in this shot taken the end of November.

As photographers we seem to be hung up about having any pure white areas in our shots. I think this may be a throw-back to the old Kodachrome 64 colour slide days when white looked horrible on the screen. On a print, or indeed on the computer screen, there's nothing wrong with it. After all traditional Chinese painters left huge blank areas in their work. Here I think it shows off the deep colour of the leaves to good effect.

It is a beautiful tree. The digital camera tends to not show the true sky color when you take the picture.
