I was just amazed at all the items one man had. I think he actually had this forge built.
I would hate to have to count every tool hanging here...they were from wall to wall just like the photo shows.
I so wish I had had a recorder to record what he told us. I don't know how long it took him to collect it all.
Does anyone know what this is for. Seems like it was something to do with making wagon wheels and spacing the spokes, but I really am not sure. But I could be way off base...
And I don't even have a clue to what this was used for. And I am pretty sure he told us.
There was so much stuff there that you just cannot imagine it. I was there and seeing it and could not take it all in. It was hard to get good photos...everything was so crowded together it was hard to even walk through. Click Here to take to old posts from the Skinner Farm Museum. And one thing I did not get a photo of at all was he had a Conestoga wagon.

Wow. But in all the clutter, there does seem to be some order, and the same things are all together. I am guessing he can find anything he has.
Wow, he has a ton of stuff. Definitely a lot of things there that I wouldn't have a clue as to what they are

Wow! He definitely has quite a collection! I am surprised the tools hanging from the joists haven't brought the roof dow, :-) That second photo you may be on to something. At first, I was thinking that it was a gear wheel.
Your photos show how overcrowded this place was. It’s one impressive place. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to take pictures.
I have seen a similar item before that looked like the second picture. It was in an old mill and it was used to turn the grinding stone. There were paddles that came out of those holes. The water wheel was outside and this was inside the mill and was used to turn the stone. He sure had a lot of tools!

i never get tired of seeing vintage things and these are just amazing. i would love for you and I to go to this place and wander and wander ... i to would not remember what they told me...
