Scanning down the thumbnails on my Reading List page yours was the image that leapt out at me. I've never been to the Midwest except through the photos on blogs. It reminds me of our fenland landscapes but writ on a much larger scale.

it makes the house and barn seem lonely to me. i love the color that the sun is turning the empty field into.. i love sun paintings and this is one of those
