Slow down...

Often my train of thought repeats itself...has for years.  And that is when out driving about, or especially driving to visit family...I think of how long it would have taken with a regular horse and wagon.  And how few times we would have actually seen the girls or family.  And I often think of the Amish...and how long it takes them to get from here to there in the horse and buggies.   And how dangerous it is for them.
*******
Different train of thought following.
I never post videos here...but I just have to this time.  Every time I hear the words Slow Down, I think of this scene from Taxi.  I have never had anyone not like it...even Lorelei thinks it funny...as we still do.

We haven't see Kaitlin and her family in over a year, but I think of the old days when one might never have seen them again after they moved. Or been able to keep in touch. I feel blessed.

I remember this! We loved Taxi, and I believe we watched all of them.

A fascinating juxtaposition: An Amish man driving his carriage, and a scene from Taxi. Both made me smile.

Yes, made me laugh. I used to watch that show all the time and I remember that episode.
This time of year I always think about how cold the Amish must be riding around in those buggies.

We are so used to driving and sometimes get impatient if there is someone in front of us slowing us down. Ha ha...I have watched this funny video before.

I have seen the "slow down" Taxi video a million times and it is still funny. Just had to watch it again and couldn't stop laughing.

I always worry about those AMish buggies riding alongside of cars. We always loved that show!

Great capture in B&W with nice tones! I guess that's why the Amish lives so close to each other. Amazing that you would still remember that line from Taxi. I can barely remember the premise of the show. Maybe that's my youth? :-)

I feel the same concern for almost driving on the streets. It is dangerous.

We are so lucky that we get to video chat with the grandkids. When I was a kid. long distance phone calls were too expensive to make many of them.
Great image and I always liked Taxi.

That is too funny, Rose. All the characters from Taxi are awesome. I forgot Tony Danza was on there. He's my favorite. ; )
