As a kid I would go cut this and bring it to the house. I thought it was so fascinating to see it growing wild in the wild areas.

wowser! so beautiful. I may have told you this. when i got married in 63, i brought boquets of goldenrod inside in vases and nearly killed the new hubby. he had horrible allergies...

This looks similar to the yellow flowering plant on my post. I've been told it may be goldenrod, but then other things were suggested. So, I still do not know for certain what it is. Maybe you would know.
