Hmm, now I wonder why they are in the window too. It sure makes for a cool picture though.
With a trophy below, I wonder if the person was a competitive pheasant hunter.
They make an interesting curtain!
Maybe they are chicken feathers where they painted them ...and hung to dry? Just saying.

So do I! I love love this picture, though.
A beautiful composition. I love the old window frame and the green siding. There are little medicine pouches or amulet bags on either side of the window. I wonder if the feathers have something to do with healing or some magical powers. An interesting scene.
Now you've got me wondering too. Wonderful photo.
Oh, that's a cool photo. Maybe the home of a hunter or someone who loves that type of bird? - the feathers all look like the same kind.
