Fabulous shot, considering you were so very far away!! But you seem to have a great sense of when there is something interesting or beautiful nearby.
😊 I've never seen them in the wild.
I love finding stuff in pictures I hadn't known was there... Turtles are such strange beasts. Gotta love 'em, though.
The way they are standing, from far away they could look like a log.

Fascinating critters. Both Hubby and I have recently been diagnosed with Covid, so the box turtles courting and mating in our north yard are our source of entertainment. A bit x-rated but hilarious and better than TV! So far so good on our health.
Terrific zoom..I wish my camera worked that well. My old one was great..my present one, not so much.
Love the algae on their shells too.
