Wow! It looks a bit like a Kestril, but I am not certain.
That was nice of our son-in-law. 😊
I'm afraid I'm not a birder.
A juvenile Peregrine Falcon. It doesn't quite look right, so I suspect that American birds vary a bit from ours.
He looks a bit annoyed that all those strange creatures have invaded his domain.

That looks like a Peregrine Falcon to me... they like to nest on rooftops so if it has fledglings, it will be keeping an eye! What a fab set of shots!!! YAM xx
I haven't a clue what kind of hawk it is but he sure is a handsome one.
He is a fine looking one, I do hate to see them with the tags on their legs. great photos. no idea what kind he is. google lens says he is a Barbary falcon

It looks like a young hawk but I am not sure of type.
My best guess is a Peregrine Falcon but not sure. It is wearing a lot of bling.
Wonderful shots from you Son in law.
I don't know my hawks but there seems to be an agreement that this is a falcon.
We do see ones like this out in the fields around our home.
