this Robin reminded me of our medium sized black bird that visited for breakfast today. I saw him land on the side of the pool, hang upside down and stand up, and move 2 feet and do it again. eased to the door to watch and he was grabing bugs out of the pool. we had 6 inches of rain in 4 days and the pool is to the top, he would hang by his feet, grab a bug, slam it on the deck and then eat it. he ate 7 while I watched. No, did not get a photo
I have a few pictures of robins that I've taken recently. They built a nest under my deck and every time I take Gibbs out the mother runs around the back yard pretending to have a broken wing.
I hardly ever see robins anymore. When I was younger, they were the first signs of spring. This is a beautiful portrait. Looks like he found a nice snack!

I guess they are making nests and laying eggs. Great shot!

Every life might have its own job with pleasure.
Good catch. He seems to be having his breakfast.
this one looks quite skinny compared to those I see. Nice close up
Aw!! He seems to have something in his mouth!! He looks perfect! Lovely image Rose :))
Perfect capture. They are really flying around our backyard too.

Excellent shot on the robin, and it's a pleasure to have them around.

Oh, that Robin sure made me smile. They are visiting me lately too, often coming around in my front yard. They are such a special bird.
