What a lot of work!
That's what people did before TV took over their lives. I can just remember a time when elderly female relatives used to visit carrying a bag containing their latest piece of embroidery or crocheting which they worked on while carrying on a conversation.
For my mother (born in 1910) it was crocheting. I am amazed by all of them.
That is pretty. That would be a project that I would likely never finish. It would require more patience than I have.

Oh, I know what you mean. That's a long doily. My sister used to have many doilies, and I only have a small pink one that my grandmother made. They are treasures for sure.
