I did not even notice the paint coming off the corner at first...that mass of plants and color caught my eye. I notice the peeling paint afterwards.

Corner shot

Yes---aren't those flowers pretty? Looks like they are putting on a new roof... They are simple people --but I'll bet they are happier than most of us..... Simple is BETTER..

This kind of surprised me because most Amish places I have seen(which isn't very many) are really kept us nice and this one seems to be kind of run down. They normally do have a bunch of flowers like you say.
The flowers are very attractive. The peeling paint does seem unusual for an Amish farm. This appears to be an added on section resulting in strange offsets an awkward appearance.
It looks as if this building was constructed in stages -- I see a couple of types of building styles here. But I probably wouldn't even have noticed if you hadn't said something. The flowers are pretty.

All your Amish country photos are interesting and pleasing. You've done a wonderful job capturing the lifestyle.

It's a lovely little garden and the peeling paint adds interest to the photo!
That little peeling area looks a bit crooked! The flowers do draw your eye away from the imperfections. I can remember spending my summers scraping paint and then painting on our garage, house, and chicken coop. Always seemed an endless job.
