Traveling down a two lane highway...yeah, highway. The kind with lines painted down the middle, we came across this barn. No place to pull off....but no traffic in sight. Roger stopped and I hopped out to take a photo. Darn, my battery is dead.
I hurry and grab my other camera and manage to get a few pics...but did not have the ability to get any real close-ups of any of the features.
Isn't this barn fantastic...it doesn't quite pull at the heartstrings like a weathered barn, but it makes me want to live in it. It is my entry for my favoritest meme in the world...Tricia's Barn Charm Meme....it opens between 6:00 and 7:00 CST....come join us. If you know someone that has barns on their blogs but haven't seen them there, encourage them to link to it. Or at least point me in their direction because I love see all types of barns.

Wow! Definitely catches your eye! Glad you were able to stop and get some photos - even if you had to hurry! :)
It's just HUGE!
So many great details. Lots of gingerbread and eye catching touchs. See that room all the way at the top? That is where I would spend my quiet time. Imagine the views.
That in one fabulous barn! The details are amazing.
That's a beautiful barn. You don't often see a barn with so much detail work on it. Too bad you had a dead battery! I've got second batteries for both of my cameras as batteries always seem to give out at just the wrong time!
Totally amazing! Considering the size of the structure and all that fabulous paint detail....someone loves that barn! I wonder if they live in it, too?
This is a wonderful barn. I'm glad you were able to get these pictures. What a great find!
Can I just say oh, my stars!!! Pun intended. :)
Love it Rose!
You can tell somebody is very proud of this one.
The stars really remind me of the old Texaco gas station stars. Be interesting to know who owns this.
Thanks for identifying my quilt pattern. I was hoping you would know. I searched so many patterns.
Thank you.
This barn is very eye catching. Its gorgeous. I wonder what its used for now.
Beautiful barn and so clean.
Looks a bit Mennonite or Amish. At least that was my first thought. I wonder if the owner is a quilter? MB
This one is something special. Those decorations must all mean something. The stars remind me of the Texaco star, but I'm sure that's not what they are.
Looks almost "new-age." Or maybe it's a fraternal organization barn?
And it must be used, considering the great condition it is in.
Fine catch, whatever!
I bet someone DOES live there... I bet they renovated it to live in OR they built it to look like a barn!
Look at the details... it's gorgeous! I love that cupola... It's a FANTABULOUS find, Rose & thank you for posting it!!!
I'm so glad you enjoy this meme & thank you also for trying to get more people to join in... I really appreciate that... =)
It's very attractive and well kept!
I can't link into Linky so here's my barn for Barn Charm:
http://moreofme24.blogspot.com/2011/03/red-with-cupolo-barn-charm.html
Can you say a barn is cute? This one sure is. I hate when that happens where your battery goes dead on you.
Wow that is an unusual barn, thanks for stopping the car. I think a quilter lives it it??:)
A truly amazing paint job on this barn. A fine post for Barn Charm.
Those are about the fanciest, coolest barn details that I've ever seen!
Regards from your fellow charming barn meme participant at EAGAN daily photo in Minnesota
Wow for sure this is in Texas! A very fancy looking barn, love those star sign.
Red barn
Lovely!!!
That is one beautiful barn!
I know that feeling all too well, stopping in the middle of the road, or just barely off to the side (where there are no places to pull over), emergency flashers going, trying to get a picture. lol This one was worth it!
there is some super details on that barn, really nice.
