Friday's fences....

I have been meaning to post the above photo for a while now...but every time I started to look for it I detoured. This is the an area of Parke County....we used to take the girls here to play. There used to be a rope swing, on down past that bend. And the owners have a place back there that they come and camp and have campfires....there is a little creek that runs through off to the right side.
While looking for the top photo, I came across this...wouldn't you love to have a cucumber fresh from the garden?????

I really like the rural scene in the first one Rose.
That cucumber makes me hungry for a salad. Raising them along a fence is exactly how my hubby likes to raise them.
Lovely shots!

That cucumber looks so good I want to reach into my computer and pluck it off the vine. :)

That fence offers a wonderful trellis for cucumbers and many other vegetables.

Very nice fence/gate. Makes me want to walk down the road to see what is around the curve. Yum! Cucumber salad. Can't wait.

I'd like to take a walk down that trail to the creek.

What a beautiful place to take your children! I know how much you all must have enjoyed it there. And yes, I'm dying for fresh cucumbers!!!! And fresh tomatoes! :-)

I really like your first shot - it makes me want to wander down that pathway. I bet it was a lovely walk and a great place to take children to play.
I love the flavour of cucumber - even better when fresh from your own garden.

i would love to have a fresh picked cucumber, i love them and tomatoes picked in the middle of the day when they are warm from the sun. salt is good but i have eaten many of them out of daddy's field, just like eating an apple. i would love a place like the one behind the gate.

The best kind of park--not too developed. And that must have been such a peaceful walk into the park. In the winter I like those tender skinned English cukes, but nothing beats your fence variety!

A fine fence shot with a description that sounds very appealing. I hope the owner's still let visitors use this occasionally.

Parke County is a beautiful part of Indiana. I really need to take Betsy there some time. The cucumber looks delicious.

What a nice simple fence. And, yes, I will take a fresh cucumber, thank you very much!

Mmmm..a garden fresh cucumber would be delicious right now. Your top fence photo makes me want to climb on over and see what's on the other side.

Hi, Rose, nothing taste fresher than a home ground cucumber.

And the fence could possibly serve dual purpose, the vines, climbing through it.

That path beyond the gate beckons me to wander. It will be a while before there are any fresh cukes in my garden.

I love the first photo...and the description of the area is just as good. Sound like the perfect get away!

Yes, I would love some fresh veggies about now...but it will be quite some time. This reminds me that summer will come!

Would love a nice small one like that. Seems like most people wait and only pick them when they are huge, or at least that is what the stores end up with.
