The sign was so prominent that I did not step over to investigate at all, but could see what looked like empty vegetable cans laying at the far end. They were rusty of course and could have been something else...

Your guess is as good as mine

Looks like it was maybe some kind of storage shed. They probably had to post the sign for safety reasons.

Hmmm, maybe a chicken coop? It's a mystery. :)
The only smokehouse for curing meat that I remember going into as a child was smaller than any other buildings on a relatives farm. Could it be! Takes me back to a time when children experienced authentic things first hand, not remotely through electronics.
yep, could be a smoke house, but I don't see a chimney. Perhaps that has already fallen down.
A fine looking old relic of a shed, or whatever it was. A fine one to spot and shoot.
maybe a storage shed? but not really big enough. a childs play house? a very large dog house? i love it whatever it is.
It's a cute structure. I'm thinking I might have sneaked to take a peek because it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere. :)
I love old buildings like this. They make you really think and use your imagination.
It does look a bit delapadated looking doesn't it? It is so small I also wonder what it was for.

Wonder why it has a posted sign? Doesn't look like much to bother. Must have had important stuff at one time.
It looks to me to be a typical smaller outbuilding that has started falling down. We have lots of them here in this county. We have one no larger than this, but it is in much better condition. This is a great. I really like the way you used the natural light to your advantage. Nice work. genie
Hmmm, maybe they used it to make moonshine. Or, it was just storage for root veges and all that. Oh heck who knows. All I know it that it is a beautiful photo!
I don't think they need the sign to keep me out. I would be afraid it would fall down on my head. Great find!
It makes me so sad to see so many of these old buildings going the way this one has.
Wow..that is short! I would not have guessed it looking at the photo and thought it was a big shed of some sort. Makes a nice photo, whatever it is!
