Don't ask cause I don't know...but tell me what you think

When we went down to Madison, Indiana last fall, we took this little drive.  Really in mileage, it was not all that long.  But we felt like we were in some of the little hills and hollers of my East Tennessee mountain area.  We were on roads that we would have been hard pressed to find a place to pass another vehicle.

Anyway, this is one thing we paused long enough for me to try to snatch a couple pictures of.  (Did I tell you that the roads were twisting and winding, too?)  I have no idea what it might have been...have no idea why the curtain is hanging there.  Just an odd little place to run across.  Does anyone want to tell me your guess as to what it was used for...I don't even have one this time.

i can only imagine it was a root cellar at one time that kids made into a play house. that's my story and i'm stickin' to it!

A work or storage shed? I love it, it is mysteriously fabulous. And you gotta love the curtain.

A prayer shrine? That may not be the right wording. When I was a kid we had a similar thing built by the previous owners of our house. It was brick with a little place to put a statue of the Virgin Mary (I think). We had no Mary and they had taken theirs with them.

Just a guess!

I have no clue what it is, but I like the textures on the building and the story that went with the picture. They say a picture can tell a thousand stories, but sometimes you need one story to add to a picture. You have certainly done both very well.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)

If only walls could talk eh? I'm with TexWisGirl, I thought of a kids playhouse as well.

It's shaped like a bunker almost.
Wine cellar?
It's a great find!

Great photo find!
If I had been there I would have done it!
Maybe ... there was a photo shooting (they like to use unusual places) and this is the rest, was not removed again?

So, nobody wanted to be seen naked.

Kinda eerie. Like the movie Wrong Turn. Who knows what goes on behind the curtain.

I think Tex might have guessed it.. my guess is using it for a clothes line? i love it and glad you captured it. that buiiding is wonderful... i like the if walls could talk answer to

I took it into picmonkey and lightened inside, there is what looks like a mirror or a frame leaning on the wall and there is another curtain or clothing laying on the floor. now i am thinking it was hanging there to protect a woman while she was undressing...

I like the very first observation.
Yesterday as we were leaving here we saw a small crib type blanket (blue with Stars appliqued on) on our pasture fence. I should have taken a picture. I think I will now that you showed me it could be done--haha! There are no babies around here and we live on a deadend road--so what's the deal.

I've not a clue as to what it was used for. I do think it's very interesting and the curtain is odd as it really doesn't block out much.

I can't begin to guess why the curtain is hung like that, but it certainly is interesting.

I have no idea but looks like it would be a fun place for kids to play.
