Red Admiral...again

This may be the last you see one for a while from me.  They were on the coneflowers almost any time I looked for a few days, then the past couple of days I have not seen a single one.

I've been keeping my eyes open for one of these. Surely, I'll see one again soon.

What a beautiful butterfly! Can't say I've seen one like it...heck, I'd settle for any butterfly! They are quite scare around here this summer.

our resident red admiral left town, i wonder if he flew up to your neck of the woods to cool off

such a beauty. i like their undersides better than their 'open' view. :)

I wouldn't mind an entire garden of coneflowers. The goldfinches like them, too.

Beautiful shot of the butterfly. Nice to see the up close details of it and love that cornflower.

Oh that's pretty. I've tried all summer to get a butterfly shot but none ever land long enough for me to snap their picture.
